Thank you for considering the CFT Mentorship program. I’m excited to share more about my background and the training that has shaped my approach to bodywork and Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT).
I have over 13 years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). I began my career in a chiropractic setting where I quickly advanced to lead therapist within a year. My foundational work involved extensive hands-on experience with fascia, particularly through massage and fascial stretch therapy. My time in the sports, and personally injury realm allowed me to work with a diverse range of clients, from adults, kids’ sports teams to professional athletes. However, I eventually began to focus on prenatal, postnatal, and infant care when I became a mother in 2019.
I became so passionate about the infant care that I did a mentorship with an IBCLC as I completed my Breastfeeding Counselor Certification. During that process my mentor encouraged me to follow my passion with infants while using my gift of using my hands through bodywork.
In January of 2022, I trained in CFT with Kim and Holly. I found this to be the pivotal piece that had been missing in my practice. Initially seeking this training to help my daughter, I quickly realized the profound impact CFT could have on others. Since then, I’ve built a team of four providers who also trained with Kim and Holly. I devoted time to further mentor them and I oversee three offices. I have personally worked with over a thousand families. I’m proud to have been the first in Arizona to focus on infants and children, contributing to the growth of this practice in our community.
The Gillespie Approach-CFT team has done an amazing job to collaboratively come together to carefully create this mentorship. Barry, Kim, Holly and myself believe it is very important that the work remains pure. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. I look forward to the opportunity to support your journey in CFT.
— Warm Regards, Charity Spears

Mentorship reviews

“Charity is such an amazing teacher. She does a great job setting up therapeutic environment and walking you through important aspects of helping your families be comfortable and meeting them where they are at. I loved having her talk through intakes and how to support parents and children alike through their CFT journey. She was great at answering questions and talking through challenging cases. I learned so much from her and continue to do so.”

“Charity made me feel so calm and comfortable while working on her. She gave me great feedback that I was able to use on my future clients. While she was working on me, I was able to learn and try new things. I felt confident after spending time with Charity.”
